We have a rich tradition of music at Mount Hope. We currently support one choir and three different instrumental groups. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at singing, or if you have been playing a musical instrument for at least one year, please come and join us!
Mount Hope's Praise Band leads songs every Sunday (during the school year). We are composed of a variety of singers and instruments: keyboard, guitars, bass, and percussion. Most of our songs are contemporary Christian songs such as you'd hear on Christian radio stations. We are a very fluid and flexible group, and we always welcome new musicians! You do not need to be present every Sunday. If you'd like to try it out contact Donna Jonasen at 414.690.8371.
The Hope Choir enjoys singing SATB and SAB arrangements of traditional anthems. Jill Dahlgren accompanies us beautifully on the piano. Most choir members have sung in the choir for decades and are dedicated to providing rich, meaningful music to services. Bonnie Jean Barczak has directed the Hope Choir since 2008. We seek to add new singers or welcome back past singers anytime, so please join us for rehearsals.
Instrumental ensemble is an instrumental group combining wind and orchestra instruments and plays a variety of classical and praise songs. We play once a month at services and for special services and events. Interested players must have at least one year playing experience on a wind or orchestra instrument before joining.
The Bell Choir plays once a month during worship as well as at special events. Please join us, we can always use an extra hand or two!
