There are many opportunities to be of service through Habitat. The Milwaukee office can be reached at (414)562-6100. The ReStore (801 S. 60th in West Allis) accepts and resells construction materials and uses the revenue to build more houses.

As mission partners we help financially and personally. Our main activity is our involvement in the after Sunday school lunch program when lunch is served to the Sunday school children and others. We’ve formed friendships at Hephatha over the years and would like to share the experience with you.

Serenity Inns is a mission of the Milwaukee Lutheran Coalition supported by the ELCA Greater Milwaukee Synod. The Inn at 2825 W. Brown can house up to 12 men and 2 Innkeepers. The men are provided housing, opportunities for spiritual growth and supportive health, educational and vocational services.
The administrative offices are located at the Inn.

ELCA World Hunger is actively involved in working to end domestic and world hunger through relief, development, community organizing, education, and advocacy projects. Similarly, Bread for the World is a nationwide Christian movement that seeks justice for the world’s hungry people by lobbying our nation’s decision makers. Interfaith is a coalition of congregations whose common objective is to enable older adults to remain in their own homes as long as they choose and can safely do so. Interfaith seeks to locate isolated older persons and put them in touch with existing county-wide and neighborhood services and benefits to which they are entitled.

Golden Leaves Adult Center
The Golden Leaves Active Adult Center at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church meets each Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. September through the first week of June.
A delicious lunch is served at noon. The cost of this lunch is $4.
The program consists of opportunities for:
Once a month, the group is offered the opportunity for a day-trip. Popular destinations are the Fireside Theatre and other local points of interest. The Golden Leaves Center is a wonderful venue for forming new friendships. All older adults are welcome to attend. They need not belong to Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in order to attend the Center’s programs, tours, and activities. If you would like to receive a newsletter outlining the Center’s program, please contact Mt.
